On December 4th, Selemani Saidi Jafo, the Tanzanian Minister of Industry and Trade, along with the District Commissioner of Mkuranga in the Coastal Region, the Police Commander, and representatives from eight local media outlets, inspected the construction and operations of Twyford float glass factory located in Mkuranga, Coastal Region, Tanzania.

Wu Zhifan, General Manager of Twyford International's Tanzanian glass factory, extended a warm welcome to the Minister. Following the welcoming ceremony, Zhu Sha, Commercial Manager of Twyford, provided Minister Selemani Saidi Jafo and his delegation with a detailed introduction to Twyford's corporate history, factory and production line layout, manufacturing processes, and product design. She also highlighted Twyford's contributions to local infrastructure and community life since the factory's establishment, including the benevolent act of rebuilding a bridge for villagers that had been destroyed by heavy rains. These efforts underscored Twyford's commitment to supporting Tanzania's development.

Minister Selemani Saidi Jafo expressed sincere appreciation for Chinese investors like Twyford and praised the company for creating numerous job opportunities and boosting the local economy. He noted that Twyford's float glass factory, with its significant export potential, would greatly advance Tanzania's industrialization and generate substantial foreign exchange reserves for the country. Additionally, the Minister commended Twyford's contributions to local infrastructure and assured that the Tanzanian Ministry of Industry and Trade would spare no effort in supporting the construction and growth of the float glass factory.

Subsequently, General Manager Wu Zhifan accompanied Minister Selemani Saidi Jafo and his delegation on a tour of the factory's production lines and warehouses. He elaborated on Twyford International's stringent quality control and meticulous standards for float glass production, emphasizing the alignment of Twyford's manufacturing processes with both Tanzanian and international standards. The Minister spoke highly of the factory's construction, production operations, and management model, offering strong praise and affirmation.

After the tour, Minister Selemani Saidi Jafo and Twyford International Tanzania Glass Factory General Manager Wu Zhifan granted interviews to the media. The Minister's visit was also published on the official media platforms of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
